This Pyrenees West Tour will be a revised scouting route tour and is based around the amazing regions of Navarra and Arragon. We will meet at Portsmouth for the ferry to Spain, or you may wish to drive through France and meet us at the start campsite near the Atlantic coast. On this tour we will cut across the mountains close to
the French border taking in the amazing senery of the mountain wilderness and gorges before heading to Europes largest desert and finishing near the town of Pamplona, for our journey back to Santander and the ferry back to Portsmouth.
Quoted as being the last wilderness in western Europe. This 400km-long range Mountain Range consists of lush meadows and dense forest, along with glaciers, rugged granite peaks and deep canyons, turbulent rivers with spectacular waterfalls and hundreds of mountain lakes, this is an area often missed by many. Running between the Atlantic shores and the Mediterranean sea the Pyrenees forms a natural frontier between France and Spain, This tour is just a small area within this vast wilderness, The Pyrenees Mountains.
